The First Dance
One of the most memorable scenes in a wedding is the first dance. Sometimes choosing the song for that very important dance can be difficult. To help you and your fiance in this decision we have listed the Top 100 First Dance Songs of All Time.

Hot Trends in Wedding Food
Now at your wedding reception the wedding cake is always a big topic. But the next big thing is the food. All that dancing everyone will be doing will make them hungry. And you may think that there isnt much you can do to make the food you serve at your wedding original. You are mistaken.

Now, instead of a sit down dinner you can serve appetizers and make it more like a fifty's cocktail party. With a live band playing the classics. Maybe highlight the city you live in by serving popular food from that area. If your a New Yorker rent a hotdog stand to give your wedding a little more you in it. If you want a sit down dinner instead of having the food pre-plated try setting the tables family style. Letting you and your guest serve there own food. Are you food obsessed? Then an interactive food station were you and your guest can watch your food being cooked. Do you have a sweet tooth? After dinner order a desert coarse to go with your cake, mini cheesecakes and an ice cream bar are very popular.
No matter the food you serve or how you serve it, be sure that you love it!

What ever the transportation may be make sure it screams your own couple style, but does not push over your budget.
Inspired Wedding Dresses
There is a saying that history repeats itself well I think the same goes for fashion. Every little girl dreams about the way her wedding will look like the flowers, the cake and the alter. But what she dreams about the most, is her dress. As a girl she really wants a Cinderella dress or Sleeping Beauty's dress. But for those woman who are still little girls inside, you are going to find that dress. Because Disney makes princess inspired dresses. That are really beautiful and will bring you back to your princess days.

Plan Your Big Wedding on a Small Budget
Weddings are expense we all know this tiny little fact to be
true. But what most don’t realize is if you are strict with your budget and
don’t bend you will be able to get your big wedding on a little budget. If you
don’t break these few simple rules you will get what you desire.
Leave the little things alone, special touches like
save-the-date notices, ceremony programs, guest favors, bathroom baskets, and
monogrammed cocktail napkins, forget it.
Yes they add a personal style to your wedding, but will likely go
unnoticed if they're skipped. One-time use items, such as special
toasting flutes or a cake knife and server, you will never use these again. So
don’t bother to waste your money on one time uses. The caterer or venue
will provide these at no extra cost.
Two things you can cut down when it comes to your
bridesmaids. First, give them the idea of what color you want them to wear.
This gives them free range to find matching dresses at stores they
prefer or maybe they have in their closet. Second, you don t need
to give them a whole bouquet of flowers. Give each one her own flower with a
bow tied on it. It will save you a lot of money on the florist bill.
Buy some things used. There are many brides who buy
everything they need for their wedding then afterwards unload when they start
to realize that they don’t need all this junk. Wedding attire can often be
rented or purchased from specialty consignment shops. Don’t be a snob to ideas
they are only there to help you.
Common Mistakes When Sending Wedding Invitations
Planning a wedding is stressful, and when things don't go as planned it only adds to a couples stress. Invitations are one of those things that can bring a wedding to a stop. Knowing how to prevent the problem is just as important as fixing problems as they arise. Here are a few tips that will help you cut down on stress while ordering you invitations.
Tip one: Order your invitations early! Couples can be so concerned about the small details of the wedding and set the invites for last. You want to mail your invitations six to eight weeks before your wedding date. This means you have to order them four months ahead of time. And if for some reason you have to send them back to get corrected it still gives you a open space to do that.
Tip two: Assemble one invitation and bring it to the the post office to get weighed, that way you will know how much postage you will need.
Tip three: To prevent not having enough envelopes, always order two extra envelopes for every ten invitations. This allows for any mistakes you may make while addressing them.

Top Ten Mistakes When Planning Your Wedding
First, a lack of personality. One of the biggest mistakes brides make is a wedding devoid
of the couple's own personalities. Now not everyone has to have a theme
wedding, but how generic is the "Love is patient" reading, or where
it doesn't seem as if the couple had a hand in the décor, menu, or music. This
is the most important day of you and your soon to be husbands life - it should
be a reflection of you as a couple.
Second, wasting money. Weddings are an industry. So while there is a lot of good advice out
there, there is also advice from people who'll profit from it. Careful that
you're not spending money where you don't need to. Do not try on a dress out of
your price range! Because luck will have it you will fall in love with it, and
then there goes money you could use on something more important. Or having a
limousine when you’re wedding and reception are at the same location. Make sure
you know your budget. What's important
to you - and what isn't.
Third, forgetting what the wedding is really about. The wedding ceremony is supposed to be the main event - the
reception is just a celebration of it. Don’t make the party more important than
the wedding. Make sure you've put enough thought into the music, readings, and vows
that will make your wedding ceremony memorable.
Fourth, not knowing the master of ceremonies. There are two people apart of weddings that are almost as
important as the bride and groom themselves.
They are the MC of the ceremony (often the officiate) and the MC of the
reception (often the DJ or band leader.) We all know the officiate will be dry
and boring but you will need them. And if your DJ is super cheesy, you're going
to be doing the chicken dance. Be sure that your personality’s mach with these
two people, and that you feel listened to and respected.
Fifth, thinking "It won't rain on my wedding day. It seems that couples don’t plan for when things go wrong. Those having an outdoor wedding, make sure
that you have an emergency location in case of rain. Give a trusted person (maid
of honor or family member) a list of vendors, phone numbers, and expected time
of arrival so that you won't be caught 10 minutes before the wedding without
the bouquets. Bring a bridal emergency kit for last minute snafus.
Sixth, couples forget the meaning of the word "budget". You started off good, saving as much as you could and
sticking to it, how much parents would give, and what you already had in your
bank account. A lot of couples would
just throw costs out the window, and wind up starting a new life together
thousands of dollars in debt. Instead, use the budget as a tool to figure out
what you can cut out and what you can save and where other income might come
from. Budgeting will help you afford your wedding, but it's an important skill
for your married life.
Seventh, partying to much the night before. Let this be the golden rule of your wedding; do not get
drunk the night before the wedding! Whether your friends have mistakenly
planned the bachelor/bachelorette parties for the night before the wedding, or
you plan to drink through the rehearsal dinner, the last thing you need is to
wake up with a headache, puffy skin, fuzzy head, or worse, an upset stomach.
Eighth, being rude and inconsiderate. Yes, it is your special day, but you need to take other
people into consideration as well. After all, a good host puts others needs front
and center. Is what you are asking the wedding party to do fair? Have you been
clear about your expectations about level of commitment? Will you make your
guests stand around for over an hour while you take pictures? Will they be
comfortable in the weather or have you thought to provide bottles of water,
fans, and/or wraps and heaters? Do guests know what to expect?
Ninth, not involving your better half. It is 2012 people; wedding planning can and should be the
domain of both people. Rather than just de facto delegated to the bride. I
suggest setting aside a regular weekly meeting time to talk about new ideas,
research that you've done, and set wedding-related goals for the next week. You
are getting married to be together, plan your wedding together.
Tenth, last but not least "losing your perspective". Above all, keep your sense of humor! Don't
forget to keep your eye on what's really important to you. Don't get stressed
out with the small details so that you don't spend enough time on what's
important. If something goes wrong, try your best to take deep breaths and think
about the big picture.
