A guest
book is a simple addition to your wedding, and one that will become a cherished
memento of your big day. It’s a way for your guests to share a special message
with you, or just offer their thanks and best wishes. But just putting out a
blank book and a couple of pens won’t get your guests inspired. Here are a few
ways to create a guest book everyone will want to sign.
Choose a
creative format. A framed engagement photo, guitar, wine bottles, or wooden
blocks can all draw your guests in and make them want to add their name and
message.
Get
colorful. Don’t stick with black or blue ink. Giving your guests a rainbow of
pens to choose from can give them some inspiration.
Make it
decorative. There are many decorative options that give each guest a space to
write their message as part of a bigger piece of artwork that you’ll love to
hang on your walls.
Say cheese.
Another great trend is Polaroid photo guest books. Ask your guests to pose for
a photo and add their message to the photo’s border.
Whatever
type of guest book you offer, getting your guests to sign can still require a
bit of encouragement. Include a polite request in your toasts, or have your DJ
remind guests throughout the night.
